About Extra Mile Institute At the Extra Mile Institute (EMI), we help teams achieve high-performance and well-being by enhancing communication and aligning their culture with stated values. We engage through 15-30 minute story-driven conversations called StepBacks. Our process includes pilot launches, facilitator training, behavioral assessment debriefs, and a digital content platform that equips internal leaders to sustain StepBacks within their own team and scale them across their entire organization. We support value-aligned organizations across both business and athletics to create lasting cultures of high performance and well-being. We are a small, high-trust startup team that values initiative, adaptability, and doing meaningful work at a high-standard.
