R&D Project Manager (f/m/x) - Biomedical Software Solutions

Your responsibilities
As R&D Project Manager (m/f/x) in our Digital Lab Solutions Division, you will lead cross-functional teams in the development of innovative biomedical software solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with regulatory and quality standards. Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end R&D software projects - from feasibility to deployment
- Coordinating cross-regional and interdisciplinary teams (R&D, QA, RA, Medical Affairs)
- Defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business objectives
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
- Identifying and mitigating project risks, and implementing contingency plans
- Ensuring compliance with medical device software standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
- Facilitating agile development practices and continuous integration workflows
- Collaborating with external partners and suppliers to ensure technical excellence and regulatory alignment
- Driving innovation by integrating advanced technologies in project management and SDLC toolchains
- Reporting regularly on project status, KPIs, and strategic milestones to senior management

Your profile
You are a great fit for this role if you combine technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and communication skills as well as a passion for driving innovation. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience in managing R&D projects in biomedical or healthcare software domains
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and regulatory requirements for medical software
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and DevOps methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
- Experience with AI/ML, cloud technologies, or data-driven healthcare applications is an advantage
