Description
River Hills Country Club in Valrico, FL is seeking a dedicated Pesticide & Fertilizer Application Technician to join our team. As a key member of our golf course maintenance staff, you will be responsible for applying pesticides and fertilizers to maintain the health and appearance of our greens, fairways, and landscapes. Your expertise in chemical application methods and equipment operation will ensure the high standards of our golf course are met. This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of safety protocols, and a commitment to environmental stewardship.As a Pesticide & Fertilizer Application Technician, you will work closely with the Director of Agronomy and Golf Course Superintendent to develop and implement successful pest and nutrient management programs. Your responsibilities will include calibrating and operating application equipment, monitoring pest populations, identifying turf diseases, and maintaining accurate application records. Additionally, you will participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and regulations.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a keen interest in turfgrass management, a pesticide applicator's license or the ability to obtain one, and a strong work ethic. Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping is preferred.
