What's the role?
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and innovative Power Platform Developer. You'llbe comfortable with working with colleagues from all areas of the business to help design, build and maintain business applications, workflows and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. Ideally you will have demonstrable experience across Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Dataverse, with a focus on delivering scalable, user-friendly solutions that improve business efficiency and support digital transformation.
What will you be doing?
Your key responsibilities will include the following.
- Develop, support, and continuously improve custom business applications using Power Apps
- Build and optimise workflows and process automations with Power Automate
- Create interactive dashboards and data visualisations in Power BI to enable data-driven decision making
- Integrate Power Solutions into a range of solutions used across the business and within third parties. This will include web pages and be able to interact with API's
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and senior management to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs and deliver solutions that meet business needs
- Ensure solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with best practice in governance and lifecycle management
- Ensure solutions are designed with 'running' and support in mind, including elements such as error control and logging
- Provide documentation, training and support to end users and technical teams
- Keep up to date with the latest Power Platform capabilities
- Be able to present and demonstrate new solutions to audiences of varying technical abilities
- To act as a mentor and subject matter expert for colleagues across the business who are involved in creating their own developments.
- Where required, be able to coordinate with third party vendors to collaborate on new ideas
- Be able to investigate and troubleshoot issues that arise with flows (with or without background knowledge of how its designed)
- Deal and resolve tickets that come from flows that have errored
What skills, qualities and experience will you need to have?
The following are essential.
- Demonstrable experience developing with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)
- Excellent understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration points
- Experience of building responsive, user-friendly applications
- Ability to analyse business processes and deliver effective digital solutions
- Familiarity with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus)
- Knowledge of, and experience using, third party API's to interact with flows and internal solutions
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously, while balancing business priorities and quality
- Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically, both in writing and orally
- Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic approach
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for technology and innovation
- Excellent collaboration skills, able to work with technical and non-technical colleagues
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment
The following are highly desirable.
- Experience with Power Virtual Agents / Copilot Studio
- Experience of security, compliance and governance in Power Platform
- PowerShell scripting experience for automation, administration and DevOps tasks
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. PL-100, PL-200, PL-400)
