Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they're well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Job overview and responsibilities
Responsible to measure, analyze, and manage repair supplier performance to cut costs, reduce risk to the operation, and drive continuous improvement. Serves as primary UAL point of contact with aircraft component suppliers, including repairs and purchases. Resolves problems related to supplier administration for all stakeholders. Trains and supports supply-chain team members, including materials managers, buyers, and storekeepers. Facilitates operational planning and engineering coordination. Supports quality and reliability initiatives and investigations. Continuously monitors supplier performance with respect to contractual metrics, including site and station audits. Manages invoice processing, maintenance support, maintenance program compliance, and project support. Leads long-term strategic decisions in conjunction with United stakeholders, including cost-savings initiatives, requests for proposal (RFP), contract negotiations, data integration, and supplier transitions. Maintains current knowledge on regulatory, policy, and industry issues that may impact supplier systems and operations.

- Lead strategic supplier decision making through data analysis, contract negotiations, and RFPs
- Facilitate and coordinate investigations, reviews, integrated planning and ancillary conversations
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent
- Three years supplier management, operational management, or technical- or quality-control experience
- Regulatory requirements and aircraft maintenance practices
- Continuous improvement principles
- Project management principles, data analysis, public speaking, executive presentation, contract negotiations
- Microsoft Office
- Travel up to 35%
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- BA/BS Degree
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Lean Six Sigma belt
- PMP
- Aviation supplier management or production control experience
- Practical experience managing aircraft component repairs
- Business Relationship Management
- SCEPTRE, SQL, advanced Microsoft Office (including VBA)
The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $129,924.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
