Job DescriptionOur IT teams are one of the strategic factors for Hapag-Lloyd's global success. Our core system "FIS" (Freight Information System) is one of the most advanced software solutions in the field of ERP software for container lines. We are looking for talented, technology-driven people to help us grow and prepare for the future challenges in our industry.
With a particular focus on the "IT Commercial Products" department, we are looking for IT (Sub) Product Managers for the cluster Quotation and Booking Engine.
The Quotation and Booking Engine (QBE) cluster was launched with the aim of significantly rethinking our customers' quotation and booking experience with maximum automation. This includes all processes from getting a quotation to placing a booking.
Therefore, you will have the opportunity to shape a core product of the Hapag-Lloyd value chain while acting as technical lead of an IT development team.
Responsibilities
- You develop our products and closely collaborate with the respective Product Managers and Business Product Owner
- You take over the technical lead for one IT product team in alignment with the respective Workstream Lead
- Together with your colleagues from our business departments, you will be analyzing complex business processes and find creative solutions to existing and new challenges
- You determine requirements for new and existing IT products in an agile environment
- Your support is needed to create a modern architecture and to migrate our products into a cloud environment
- As part of the team, you take over responsibilities for the team's deliverables and its success
- Your daily grind is characterized by strong collaboration with your colleagues, internal IT teams and other teams around the world
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics or comparable
- Proven experience from similar positions or roles and good knowledge within the area of requirements engineering
- Good knowledge in agile development for industrial software
- Proven analytical skills and willingness to learn every day
- You have capability of translating data into actionable insights, recommendations and tangible improvements for HL and creating value for customers
- Goal-oriented and independent working style and you are great at motivating your team
- You communicate well and thrive in a diverse, international environment - fluent written and spoken English language skills are a must
Nice if you have:
- Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
- Experience within software development using in the context of larger projects
- Experience in Cloud Environments (AWS / any other Hyperscaler, Terraform)
- Experience in DevOps (Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, Gitlab / Github)
