Overview
Sev1Tech is looking for an Infrastructure as Code DevSecOps Engineer to support our federal customer's infrastructure-agnostic platform to support the DoD's vast infrastructure options (including Government clouds, on premise, disconnected and classified environments). The Infrastructure as Code DevSecOps Engineer will have the ability to deploy a DevSecOps platform (CNCF Kubernetes-compliant) with accredited and secured hardened containers built from the DoD Centralized Artifacts Repository to support the DoD's ability to field operational capabilities faster.
Role responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the DevSecOps stack across multiple security classifications.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) to on-board and support a variety of platform teams across the DoD onto various Kubernetes distributions (Kubernetes upstream, Rancher, OpenShift, VMWare Tanzu, etc.) for commercial cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid, intermitted-connected, and disconnected environments, both classified and unclassified, in collaboration with the various companies that created the Kubernetes distributions.
- Leverage and develop IaC/CaC to be fully cloud, on-premise, and edge agnostic leveraging technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm and Kubernetes Operators and/or similar.
- Enhance the cybersecurity and the code security process of the Platform One stack across all classified and unclassified environments.
- Develop necessary IaC/CaC changes to allow for the automated deployment into the Cloud and other commercial and Government cloud tech stacks.
- Must be experienced in providing DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar tools. Experienced in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications in Kubernetes. Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. Working knowledge of Software Build process. A DevSecOps Engineer on the Platform One team should have a passion for building and maintaining automation for a large enterprise that consists of hundreds of applications. Strong "security first" mindset.
Responsibilities
- B.S. in Computer Science, Math, or similar degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing and managing the CI/CD pipelines of a wide variety of applications
- Five (5) years of experience as a major contributor in a DevOps environment utilizing AWS and AWS Services; heavy containerization experience Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Gitlab, or similar tools
- Active Secret level clearance

- A DevSecOps Engineer with experience on Platform One's tool sets and methodologies.
- Exeprience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise that could consist of hundreds of applications.
