Position Information
Classification Title IT Application Support Professional FLSA Exempt FTE 1.00 Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems, or related experience
- At least one year of experience in creation and maintenance of websites and/or web applications
- Experience working with a Content Management System, such as WordPress
- Experience working with MS SQL Server database management system, including experience developing stored procedures
- Exposure to MVC framework, such as Laravel
Reporting to the Associate Director of Application Development, this position is responsible for the programming, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of new and existing web applications for Development and Alumni Relations units along with each application's associated databases. The incumbent is expected to possess excellent written and oral communication skills for conveying both technical and non-technical information.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Experience with web programming languages such as PHP or .NET
- Experience working with a database such as MySQL or MS SQL
- Experience with GitLab or similar version control system
- HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, XML
- Ability to interact verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical audiences
